Sarlen Studios Photography (“Sarlen Studios,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit sarlenphoto.com, submit an inquiry, or communicate with us through the contact methods linked from the website.
By using the website, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not submit personal information through the website.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
When you submit the inquiry form or contact us directly, we may collect:
- Your name.
- Your email address.
- Your phone number, when you choose to provide it.
- The type of photography session you are interested in.
- Your preferred date or indication that your date is flexible.
- Details you include in your message about the session, event, participants, location, or preferences.
- Information included in later email, telephone, or WhatsApp communications.
Please do not submit Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, payment-card details, medical records, or other sensitive information through the website inquiry form.
Information collected automatically
Our website, hosting provider, content-delivery or security providers, and server software may automatically process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the website. This may include your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, requested pages, approximate request location, date and time, and security or error logs.
For visitors in permitted regions, we use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregated website visits and interactions, such as pages viewed, referral source, device type, inquiry-form completion, and clicks that begin a WhatsApp conversation. We do not send the contents of an inquiry, a name, email address, phone number, requested date, or message to Google Analytics.
Session photographs and client materials
Photographs, galleries, contracts, payment records, and other materials created or received after a client books a service may be handled as part of the photography relationship. Sarlen Studios uses client photographs in its portfolio, website, social media, or promotional materials only with client authorization. Additional details may appear in the applicable photography agreement or release.
2. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- Respond to inquiries and communicate about availability, services, pricing, preparation, and scheduling.
- Prepare proposals, agreements, invoices, session plans, and photography services requested by a client.
- Provide customer support and maintain business records.
- Operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the website.
- Understand which pages, services, and contact paths help visitors find the information they need and begin an inquiry.
- Prevent spam, fraud, misuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with applicable law, legal process, and legitimate governmental requests.
- Protect the rights, safety, and property of Sarlen Studios, its clients, website visitors, and others.
We do not use inquiry information for unrelated purposes without providing appropriate notice or obtaining consent when required.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The website and its infrastructure may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for site operation, security, form handling, preferences, or performance. In permitted regions, Google Analytics 4 may use analytics cookies to measure aggregated website usage. We do not intentionally use behavioral advertising, advertising cookies, Google Signals, remarketing, or advertising personalization.
We use a country-level technical signal supplied by our content-delivery provider to avoid loading Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, and the automatically embedded Google Map for visitors detected in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland. Country detection is an estimate and may be unavailable or inaccurate. When the signal is unavailable, we do not load those non-essential Google measurement tools. Visitors in those regions can still open directions to Google Maps by choosing the link on the Contact page.
4. When Information May Be Shared
We may disclose information in the following limited circumstances:
- Google measurement services: in permitted regions, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 process limited technical and interaction information to provide website measurement. See the Google Privacy Policy.
- Service providers: vendors that support website hosting, content delivery, security, email delivery, storage, scheduling, gallery delivery, accounting, or other business operations, only as reasonably necessary for their services.
- Legal and safety reasons: when disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, enforce an agreement, investigate misuse, or protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business changes: in connection with a potential or completed sale, merger, reorganization, financing, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate handling of personal information.
- With your direction or consent: when you ask us to share information or separately authorize a particular use.
Sarlen Studios does not sell or rent the contact information submitted through its inquiry form.
5. Third-Party Services and Links
The website may include or link to services operated by other companies. These services have their own privacy practices, and Sarlen Studios does not control their collection or use of information.
- The Contact page may display Google Maps for visitors in permitted regions. Google may receive technical information when the map loads. Visitors in restricted regions can choose the directions link instead. See the Google Privacy Policy.
- WhatsApp links open a service operated by Meta. Information you send through WhatsApp is handled under the WhatsApp Privacy Policy.
- Instagram and other social-media links take you to third-party platforms governed by their own privacy terms.
Following an external link or using a third-party service is voluntary.
6. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including responding to an inquiry, providing services, maintaining appropriate business and tax records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods may vary according to the type of information and the relationship with the client.
Information that is no longer reasonably needed should be deleted, anonymized, or securely disposed of, subject to legal and operational requirements.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we handle. However, no website, email system, transmission, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please use care when deciding what information to send electronically.
8. Children’s Privacy
The website is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. Children under 13 should not submit personal information through the website. A parent or legal guardian should make inquiries involving a minor and is responsible for providing any required permissions.
If we learn that a child under 13 submitted personal information directly through the website without appropriate parental involvement, please contact us so we can review and delete the information when required.
9. Your Choices and Requests
Depending on applicable law and the nature of our relationship, you may ask us to:
- Confirm whether we hold personal information about you.
- Correct inaccurate contact information.
- Delete information that is no longer required, subject to legal, contractual, and recordkeeping obligations.
- Withdraw a consent for a future use when that use depends on consent.
To make a privacy request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity and the scope of the request before acting. A request concerning photographs or a signed photography agreement may also be governed by that agreement and applicable law.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our website, services, vendors, or legal obligations change. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective or revision date. Material changes should be communicated when required by law.
